- But arcs (and in fact wide lines in X) are defined poorly, and
- sensible people avoid them. The problem is that we stole the PostScript
- round pen definition, and this turns out to both be ugly (lumpy) and computationally
- painful, particularly at screen resolutions. Afterwards we found out that
- PostScript cheats (doesn't actually implement their specification as specified),
- and it was before Hobby's work on polygonal pens, which give much more aesthetically
- pleasing results.
