  13. It is conceiveable it is a bug.

  15. But arcs (and in fact wide lines in X) are defined poorly, and
  16. sensible people avoid them.  The problem is that we stole the PostScript
  17. round pen definition, and this turns out to both be ugly (lumpy) and computationally
  18. painful, particularly at screen resolutions.  Afterwards we found out that
  19. PostScript cheats (doesn't actually implement their specification as specified),
  20. and it was before Hobby's work on polygonal pens, which give much more aesthetically
  21. pleasing results.
