- When using the "ARC" item of the xfig (v2.1) drawing program in certain
- orientations (including 12,3,6 o'clock [see below]) the arc drawn on the
- screen is badly misdrawn. This occurs with the default line thickness
- (thicker is ok), and the default zoom level (larger zoom is ok).
- This occurs only on "HX" equipped DECstations (of all the kinds we have).
- They are running Ultrix 4.2a.
-
- This would appear to me to be either a bug in Xws or the HX card itself,
- but I am wondering if any one else has seen this with something other
- than xfig (or conversly, has seen xfig do this on some other system).
-
- Thanks,
- John

- Clicking on 3 points to produce an arc:
- should look like this: looks like this:
-
- . 1 . 1
- . .
- . . (top half ok)
- . .
- . .
- . 2 . 2
- . ...
- . ... (bottom half disjoint
- . ... and "too sharp")
- .
- . 3 3
-
- (well, more or less, subject to the vagaries of Ascii-diagrams)
