  13. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this -
  14. A nice picture in the background may be appealing, but - you've got to store
  15. the image somewhere. Expect to eat 1280*1024 bytes (i.e. over a megabyte) of
  16. memory holding your background image.

  18. The boring background patterns save a LOT of memory. :-)
