- i guess i wasn't explicit: the clients are getting password/uid/gid
- information from the server as well as files (we're using Hesiod). the
- userids are the same.

- i've got some mail suggesting that i should examine exporting the
- filesystems with root access; i haven't checked this yet but i
- certainly hope this isn't the solution. (we don't export filesystems on
- our Suns with r=0 access and this problem isn't present there...).
