  19. i guess i wasn't explicit: the clients are getting password/uid/gid 
  20. information from the server as well as files (we're using Hesiod). the 
  21. userids are the same.

  23. i've got some mail suggesting that i should examine exporting the 
  24. filesystems with root access; i haven't checked this yet but i 
  25. certainly hope this isn't the solution. (we don't export filesystems on 
  26. our Suns with r=0 access and this problem isn't present there...).
