- Hi,
-
- We currently have an Ultrix machine working as a Mail gateway between
- our VMS machines and the Internet. This is in place and has been working
- for some time.
-
- I am wondering if there is a way to shorten the address of VMS users for
- mail going through the gateway. For example, the address user JOE on VMS node
- NODE1 is: joe%node1.dnet@gateway.umb.edu. I would like to have this just be
- joe@node1.umb.edu instead, and still have it all work.
-
- I suspect I can direct mail to node1.umb.edu to go to the gateway machine
- with MX records, but I don't know if it's possible to get sendmail to do the
- right stuff with this.
-
- Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
