- This may be a very basic question but here goes:
-
- I want to rig up a backup scheme using tar that does not cross over
- mount points (like into nfs file systems). I thought I could do this
- with find -mount to a file and then using the tar option to read
- its files to backup from that file.
-
- But nope; if tar encounters a directory he backups it and its subs up.
-
- Obviously I am not understanding something here. (I'm starting unix
- sys admin - I'm originally VMS) Anyone have a shell procedure fragment
- to indicate how you could do this?
- Thanks,
- Don
