- I am hoping to port a commercial graphical application to ISC UNIX,
- probably SVR3, and need the following capabilities:
-
- X with support for an editable colormap of 256 colours
- (with appropriate hardware)
- ANSI C compiler
- C++ compiler
-
- We hope to use ISC's X, but will it support 256 colours? Or do we need
- to use a different X server? And any suggestions for VGA cards?
-
- ISC's LPI C compiler could be ok, but last time I used it, it was very
- buggy. But I don't think ISC has a C++ compiler?
-
- How about gcc, g++ and libg++, have they been run successufully under SVR3?
-
- Or should we look at SVR4?
-
- Any suggestions appreciated, by email or news.
