- I am running SCO and ISC Unix side by side. I am noticing a significant
- difference in response in the two systems. I am running them both as
- they were installed. The systems are the same: 486/50, Adaptec 1542 (ISA)
- Micorpolis 600mb drives. They have plane vanilla VGA screen cards one has
- a Trident and the other an ATI. The Trident has a 1 meg memory and the
- ATI has 256k.
-
- I notice a pause when booting up when it prints out the motd and then gives
- the user prompt. I also notice a hasitation in general, especially when I
- "exit the shell" and go back to the login. Does the SCO need to be tweeked
- in order to get the performance up?
-
- In order to save bandwith, please email responses to ellis@epca.wpg.com.
- If there is any interest in the responses, please let me know and I will
- summarize or send individually depending on the responses.
-
- Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.
