  10. 'm starting to get into MUDs (Multi-User-Dungeons).  In order for me
  11. to do this on my Consensys V4 (an AT&T SVR4 unix), I need to be able to
  12. telnet back into my own system.  However...

  14. Right now I do not have a WD8003 card (but, I've found a supplier for them).
  15. Since I do not have the WD package loaded, I get the following msg in my
  16. inet.start file in the /tmp directory:

  19. The following commands were run from /etc/inet/rc.inet
  20. /usr/sbin/ifconfig lo0 localhost up
  21. /usr/sbin/ifconfig emd0 shyguy up -trailers
  22. ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCGIFFLAGS): Invalid argument
  23.   
  24. Apparently the last statement above is due to not having the WD driver
  25. loaded up (at least i think?).

  27. Can anyone tell me what I can do to allow pinging/telnet'ing back into
  28. my own system?  Do I really need to purchase one of the WD8003 cards?
