- 'm starting to get into MUDs (Multi-User-Dungeons). In order for me
- to do this on my Consensys V4 (an AT&T SVR4 unix), I need to be able to
- telnet back into my own system. However...
-
- Right now I do not have a WD8003 card (but, I've found a supplier for them).
- Since I do not have the WD package loaded, I get the following msg in my
- inet.start file in the /tmp directory:
-
-
- The following commands were run from /etc/inet/rc.inet
- /usr/sbin/ifconfig lo0 localhost up
- /usr/sbin/ifconfig emd0 shyguy up -trailers
- ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCGIFFLAGS): Invalid argument
-
- Apparently the last statement above is due to not having the WD driver
- loaded up (at least i think?).
-
- Can anyone tell me what I can do to allow pinging/telnet'ing back into
- my own system? Do I really need to purchase one of the WD8003 cards?
