- I'm running Interactive UNIX 3.0 on a Dell 486 with an IDE
- controller, and also on a Wyse 386 with a ESDI controller.
- (Yes, I actually have two licenses...)
-
- Anyway, I now need to install a CDROM drive on one (or both)
- of these machines, and I'm wondering if I'm going to run into
- any problems by adding a SCSI controller for the CDROM unit.
- (In other words, I don't want to have to replace the existing
- disk controller/hard disk...)
-
- Anybody know if there are any gotcha's I should be looking out
- for? I was planning on buying either the NEC CDR74 or CDR84 with
- an Adaptec controller.
-
- I want to be able to access the CDROM from VP/ix as well...
