- There are some screwball block size issues with DAT (and 8mm) tape drives.

- DELL may not have taken the time to sort out every possibility. They are
- known to work with the HP units, as HP isn't quite that screwey.

- This can PROBABLY be fixed with a firmware update in the WangDAT -- call up
- Wangtek and bitch. I'm willing to bet the problem lies here.

- The other possibility is that the tape drive has trouble dealing with sync
- mode. If so, and he has sync negotiation enabled on his controller, remove
- the jumper and the problem will disappear.
