- Boy! Incompetent is not the word. I have tried and tried to hook up
- with somebody at UNIVEL who knew ANYTHING about the product and to
- date all I get is the run-around. I wanted to get involved with
- the early developers program (because I believe in the basic strategy)
- but when I call UNIVEL I get the phone transfer blues. Heres an
- example. The early developers program offer was opened several weeks ago
- (I read about it on the net). If you call UNIVEL you can get a
- sheet faxed to you that allows you to enroll in the program. The
- sheet contains only enough lines to indicate that you want to be
- in the program and that you would like the PE and the DEV KIT (BASE??)..
- Well, since I want more than the BASE dev kit I tried calling to
- find out how I could get some add-ons. I was transfered 5 times and
- finally ended up on somebody AUDIX who never bothered to return
- my call... What a shame. I really want Destiny to take off but
- if the little guys are not allowed to get their hands on the product
- you can forget about even coming close to Microsofts' success with
- WINDOZE!!... DOS has enjoyed years of success with literally THOUSANDS
- of applications and games available via anonymous BBS's, wouldn't it
- be great if UNIXWARE could attain the same status??? The only way
- thats going to happen is if UNIVEL can get the price of the product
- down and get it in the hands of the general public...
-
- enough said.....
