- ESIX (4.0.4) has a nice emergency repair mechanism on their floppy
- version (I don't know whether all SVR4's of that vintage have that
- feature, or whether ESIX added it). I've used it several times, works
- quite nicely (it appears to replace /etc/init, inittab, passwd, and
- other key files with known-good ones). After rebooting, you can
- reconfigure and rebuild your original system, and try again.
