  11. We're running Racal Interlan TCP/IP (NP622A V3.0) on Intel Unix System V.3.2.2 
  12. and Novell Lan Workplace (V 4.0 Rel A) on Dos 5.0. When FTPing from the DOS
  13. system to the UNIX box, the transfer sees to bog down (either ftpd is ignoring
  14. ACK PSH or DOS ftp is ignoring the response), and eventually after a couple
  15. of slow file transfers you get one that takes forever. Finally ftpd core
  16. dumps after completing the transaction (ftp reports success) but before
  17. completing the write to the output file.

  19. With the older version of NP622A (V2.1) OR the previous version of Lan
  20. Workplace (V 3.5 Rel B) there are no problems. With the newer versions we
  21. get these problems in varying levels of severity on two separate UNIX
  22. boxes and two separate DOS boxes. In addition, the problems have only
  23. recently become noticable (previously, there was some slowdown but no
  24. crashes or incomplete files) though there have been no changes to the
  25. systems that we are aware of, and the problems persist in an isolated
  26. LAN segment.

  28. Going back to the earlier version of Lan Workplace is being evaluated,
  29. but we can't get that version for the rest of the PCs. It's not practical
  30. at this time to take the UNIX box down and regress it.
