  26. I have a fairly portable, and largely incomplete, dos-emulator in
  27. ftp.scri.fsu.edu:~ftp/pub/hudgens.  It needs alot of work, is a tad
  28. slow (300 Dhrystones/sec on a SS1+), still is "batch mode only", and
  29. has been dormant for at least 4 months now.  Sadly enough, these
  30. things are a *bitch* to debug.  The only thing stable about mine is
  31. that the 8088 part is fairly close to being at the "no known bugs"
  32. stage.  The emulation of DOS really sucks.  Of course, I guess that's
  33. what you get emulating DOS :-).  It still doesn't boot DOS; too much
  34. is missing.

  36. I've heard of at least 3 other dos- or pc- emulators available. 
  37. If you have trouble finding these others, let me know, I probably
  38. have their messages archived somewhere.  One was Tanenbaum's 
  39. 8088 emulator for testing minix.
