- Some time ago, there was a discussion on the usage of ide
- disks in native and translated modes. I wondered if someone
- can post a summary of this. In particalur I want to know the
- follwoing:
- I ran the programm posted then that reports the geometry of
- thje ide disk. This is done twice, one in normal operation and
- once after resetting the controller.
- This program reported the same geometries in both modes. Does
- this mean that I can only use them in translated modes?
- FYI: the disk are a quantum lpt120 and a seagate st3144a.
