  27.     I'ld like to know why people think that USL won't sue the Jolitzes
  28. if they win against BSDI.  Is there something magically wrong that BSDI did
  29. that the Jolitzes didn't.  (Okay, BSDI charges money.)  Still, I'ld like
  30. 386BSD and the other freeware Unix clones to succeed to the extent that I
  31. can purchase support for them.  I'm quite happy to hack on my own system for
  32. fun, but when I go to work it would be nice to be able to use the same
  33. system.  Until I can safely trade some of my employers money for less
  34. hacking on the company time clock, I won't be able to do this.  I can
  35. understand that this might not be the primary goal of either Jolitz (386BSD)
  36. or Linus (Linux); but I would hope that neither one of them would mind their
  37. software being used for something besides hacking.  I predict that if it
  38. appears even remotely that 386BSD or Linux are starting to encroach on the
  39. commercial Unix market; USL will take any and all legal steps possible to
  40. stop their further distribution.
