- Think of me as a tourist in your city. An irritating guy who
- really doesn't know what he's doing or where he's going. Thats about
- where I am with A/UX. I'm not to bad with Unix, but A/UX has me a
- little confused.
-
- First, when using MacX, how come I cant get color in my windows
- (xterm, xlogo, xclock, etc...). I use the correct arguments (-bg, -fg)
- but have had no luck. I have a Quadra with 8bit color. Is there
- something I need to set in my .twmrc? Somthing in MacX? I can get
- color if I default to a pure X11 session type, but that defeats a lot
- of my purposes. What file needs hacked. I've found that the docs that
- come with A/UX (at least the basic docs) are just that... basic.
-
-
- See, I told you this was dumb. BTW, I've used the Color Root
- window with piddling results. If I open a session from a remote machine
- I can get color windows with the Color Root. This too seems a little
- weak. Any help would be greatly appreciated (laymans terms if at all
- possible... I left my Unix decoder ring at home:^)
-
- PS: Anyone have any luck with other window managers (gwm?) Anyone
- try to compile and run the latest version of X (5). Just some of the
- insane things I am contemplating. And I really like A/UX:^)
-
- Thanks in advance...
