- So, my question to you all is... Has anyone used these tapes? I used to get
- discs from them (was just about to call and tell them to quit sending catalogs
- because I don't use discs anymore when they started selling tapes :) and
- aisde from the occasional bad batch, they were good. But, with 250MB per
- tape, I'd hate to have one of them go bad... I feel like it's more worth it
- to spend $5 more per tape if it's going to save my butt sometime...
-
- BTW: When I got my 3M 6250s, they came with this nice notice saying that
- they could cause problems with some tape drives causing some nasty wear
- (my paraphrasing). So I called them up to ask about this and the Tech
- Support person assured me that this had since been proven to be false, and
- that 3M was just being paranoid initially with the new tape. So if anyone
- gets a 3M tape with that on it, you now know the story.
