  17. So, my question to you all is...  Has anyone used these tapes?  I used to get
  18. discs from them (was just about to call and tell them to quit sending catalogs
  19. because I don't use discs anymore when they started selling tapes :) and
  20. aisde from the occasional bad batch, they were good.  But, with 250MB per
  21. tape, I'd hate to have one of them go bad...  I feel like it's more worth it
  22. to spend $5 more per tape if it's going to save my butt sometime...

  24. BTW:  When I got my 3M 6250s, they came with this nice notice saying that
  25. they could cause problems with some tape drives causing some nasty wear
  26. (my paraphrasing).  So I called them up to ask about this and the Tech
  27. Support person assured me that this had since been proven to be false, and
  28. that 3M was just being paranoid initially with the new tape.  So if anyone
  29. gets a 3M tape with that on it, you now know the story.
