- Version 2.10 of lsof is available via anonymous ftp from ftp.cc.purdue.edu
- (128.210.24.2) in pucc/lsof2.tar.Z. This represents a residency change for
- lsof from j.cc.purdue.edu, a host that will be shut down December 30, 1992.
-
- Lsof (for LiSt Open Files) displays information on files opened by processes
- in the following versions of Unix: AIX 3.2, EP/IX 1.4.3, ETAV*, DYNIX 3.0.12
- and 3.1, HP-UX 7.x and 8.x, IRIX 4.0.5, NeXTStep 3.0 and SunOS 4.1.[12].
-
- Version 2.10 contains:
-
- * Significant improvements to the handling of inaccessible NFS file
- systems and files (not thoroughly tested on IRIX or HP-UX);
-
- * Corrections to the interpretation of symbolic links to files and
- file system names.
-
- * The sense of the -T option (EP/IX 1.4.3 only) has been reversed;
-
- * An attempt has been made to make the code ANSI C compliant;
-
- * A matching file name argument is always printed in the NAME column,
- even when other selection criteria have been used;
-
- * Miscellaneous HP-UX 8.x bug fixes.
