- Our Corporation is currently reviewing a proposal from several
- companies to provide us with hordes of machines and services. The IBM
- proposal, one of these several, has listed under the title "Additional
- cost items" various packages (I assume) that I am seeking more
- information about, hopefully from people who have even been exposed to
- them first-hand.
-
- I have perused the recent FAQL postings but was unable to find related
- information therein.
-
- These additional cost items are (and I quote) the following:
-
- - Performance Analyzer PA/6000
- - Systems Monitor 6000
- - AIX Soft Dist (Push/Pull Mods)
- - Uni-tree data archival
- - High availability NFS
- - Backup and restore [my note: one can only assume they don't
- mean the standard Unix utilities, else it
- would not be listed under "Additional cost
- items"]
-
- If you have any information relating to these items, I will thank you
- to reply via electronic mail to "hogden@rge.com".
