- Within the next two weeks, we will be physically replacing our two Model
- 560s running 3.2.1 with two new Model 580s running 3.2.3. Pleese note that
- we're not upgrading, we're getting two new boxes and selling the old ones.
- AIX and the lpps will be preinstalled. In planning for this installation,
- I trying to determine the best means to migrate our third-party software
- and configuration files. Earlier this year I used the 3.2 Upgrade Utilities
- supplied by IBM to go from 3.1 to 3.2. Would these same utilities be useful
- in moving to new systems? Are there additional configuration files in 3.2
- that the 3.1->3.2 utilities are designed to backup? Any tips, suggestions,
- and gothchas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
