- The way I learned was by playing. Give your nubie a userid with a
- restricted shell and let 'em play in there. Let 'em go through a "rm *"
- with THEIR OWN files. Then take off the restrictions and have them write
- various applications using shell script. Whether the stuff is actually used
- or not is your call. And anytime something unusual comes up, drag your
- nubie in by the ear and solicit ideas -- you could learn something, the nubie
- WILL learn something and you can more accurately gauge his/her progress from
- the answers/questions asked.
