- By *might work* I really meant *could be affordable*. We have a lot of
- Delni and TCLs sitting in storage here at Allen-Bradley that we
- occasionally use when we need a quick, temporary network. Though the
- original poster said he had thicknet ports on his computers, I assumed
- he meant AUI, Many people (me included) incorrectly talk about thicknet
- when they are really refering to an AUI drop cable.

- So, rewording my earlier statement, shielded AUI cable is more expensive
- then twisted pair or thinnet. It also cannot be run for as long a
- distance. This is not really a problem unless you have a really big
- house or you try to get by with cheaper cable that is under spec.
