- I suggest reading "Winning ways for your mathematical plays" Vol. II -
- Berlekamp, Conway, Guy where the "Life computer" is explained, or "The
- Recusive Universe" - W. Poundstone - OUP.
- Both books have large amounts of diagrams concerning the Life computers.
