  88. This can be easily extended to a double octavo by starting with the sheet in
  89. the landscape position and folding 3 times (left back, bottom back, left back).
  90. In this case, bot the bottom and right edges need trimming.
  91. The "pages" are arranged simillarly with 8 per side of the sheet.

  93. Now my problems is this. I know how to arrange test frames on the
  94. sheets. I know
  95. how to arrange for stuff to flow from frame to frame in any order on
  96. each sheet.
  97. What I CAN'T seem to do is to flow across sheet boundries. Forward flow is ok.
  98. Selecting a double sided document and left and right page layout definitions
  99. take care of that. The problem is getting the flow to reverse (eg from "page"
  100. 3 which is on sheet 2 to "page" 4 on sheet 1)! The normal technique of
  101. selecting
  102. two text frames and "connecting" them doesn't work. The frame on one sheet is
  103. automatically deselected as soon as you select a frame on the second sheet.

  111. PS: FrameMaker's handling of inverted text is really terrible! You can
  112. type text into or position the text in an inverted (rotate the frame by 180
  113. degrees) frame just fine (left, right, up and down have interesting effects -
  114. kinda like vertigo) but you cannot mouse into position! This is a real pain
  115. in the above case since (in the double octavo) there are 2 inverted frames in a
  116. row. To position the cursor in one of the inverted frames, you have to start in
  117. an uninverted frame and walk (via the arrow keys) to the place of interest.
