  16. I have need of information concerning the use of the escape key on a unisys
  17. uvt1224 terminal while connected to a unix box by modem.  
  18.  
  19. One of my contingency has a unisys uvt1224 at home, and says that, whenever
  20. he calls in over a Microcom 9600 baud modem, his escape key "emits a sequence of 
  21. characters which include '~' and tends to capitalize letters" on him.  This,
  22. of course, makes working with vi a real bear.
  23.  
  24. Does anyone know anything about this and a solution for it?
