  12. The school which my church supports got two Tandy 6000's for free.  (Some
  13. company, I don't know which, must've got a tax write-off or something...)
  14. Unfortunately, the Mac-oid who tried to get them running was pretty clueless.
  15. He went off to South Carolina, and the whereabouts of the 8-inch system disks
  16. and manuals are unknown... I don't even know if he ever had them.

  18. Starting from the present situation (Have: hardware.  Haven't: doc's/disks),
  19. and working upon the same principle (donations rather than cash purchases),
  20. I'd like to get these things up and running (Xenix) for the school kids.

  22. I'll be probing into the original source of these donated machines, but I'm
  23. not counting on finding much.  What I'll need is:

  25. Xenix (2.1? I've heard that 3.2 needs hardware mod's...)
  26.     I'll need the boot floppy and whatever else to start completely
  27.     from scratch... the 15Mb hard drives don't seem to be formatted.

  29. ANY DEVELOPMENT STUFF - The idea is to teach the kids programming.  C, BASIC,
  30.     Pascal...  Heck, I'd even take Fortran or <ugh> assembly! (Of course,
  31.     'C' would be ideal...  I don't want to teach them a 'toy' language.)

  33. DOCUMENTATION - Manuals for Xenix, hardware manuals, *anything*.
  34.  
  35. Since this school (Badger State Christian School) is a ministry of Faith
  36. Baptist Church, all donations are tax deductible.  I'd be more than happy to
  37. pay the shipping costs and even throw in something extra for your trouble.
