- Nope, this is not true. I have had no end of trouble trying to extract
- info from most salesmen. Most have no interest in selling or supporting
- anything but MS-DOS boxes; I even had one inform my father (a few years
- ago) that he refused to sell us a daisy-wheel printer for our CoCo, but
- if we'd buy a Tandy 1000 "business system", he's be happy to sell us a
- daisy wheel to go with it.
-
- There are a few who know what they are doing, and I try hard to give them
- my business.
-
- By the way, I have yet to order something from National Parts via a RS
- store and actually receive it. It's always, "Oh, it's still on order."
- To hear my uncle, a former RS franchise-holder, tell it, getting stuff
- from National Parts is somewhat of a roulette game, so it is perhaps not
- the fault of the people from whom I am ordering. Maybe the new computerized
- inventory systems will help solve these problems.
