- Hello,
-
- I hope this is the right group to post in.
-
- I have a customer that says he has a Cray YMP that has an 8mm tape drive
- (SCSI) on it. I have not heard of this before (SCSI drives on Cray machines)
- I thought they required a Sun or VAX with SCSI drives as a front-end or
- something.
-
- Anyhow could anyone tell me if this interface is Standard SCSI?
- This person needs a tape capacity of >3GB for special files they are archiving
- (Model files) and they 2.3GB Exabyte 8200 they have is too small and too slow.
-
- If the SCSI on the Cray is Standard we'll try to put a HP 8GB 4mm
- DAT drive in place of the Exabyte.
-
- If anyone could lend insight to this matter I would appreciate it!
-
- Please Email to jeff@wsm.com
-
- Thanks in Advance,
-
