  12. Until yesterday I used OpenWindows 2.0 on a SparcStation 1+ to access
  13. Framemaker 1.3 (X11) on a Sparc 2. My SparcStation 1+ acts as an X server.
  14. Framemaker was executed on the Sparc 2.

  16. Yesterday I upgraded my Sparcstation to SunOS 4.1.3 with OpenWindows 3.0.
  17. Now this setup no longer works. Framemaker comes up with its control panel
  18. (New,Open,Info etc). As soon as I select a button the licence window
  19. frame comes up with empty content. Then nothing happens for 10 seconds.
  20. Next the empty licence window and the frame control panel disappear.
  21. On the Sparc 2 a core dump of maker.exe is left.

  23. The only change I'm aware of is the newer release of the X11 display
  24. server on the SparcStation 1+.

  26. Any idea how the Framemaker crash is caused? And more important; any
  27. idea how to solve the problem (apart from upgrading Framemaker)?
