- Sun offers external 644-MB CD-ROM "SunCD" for SPARC machines and it cost
- around $800.
-
- I plan to use CD-ROM drive for Solaris 2.x on CD-ROM, AnswerBook (online docs)
- and as well any ISO-9660 formatted discs.
-
- The price seems too high since I could get bare-bones CD-ROM drive for
- something like $200 to $350.
-
- Will any type of CD-ROM drive works fine with SPARC machines?
-
- If you have non-Sun CD-ROM drive that works fine with SPARC, let me know
- the make and model, thanks.
