  20. This was discussed at length a while back...

  22. The general consensus was that there was a hardware block to prevent the
  23. transfer of the audio data in raw digital format in most CD-ROM drives.
  24.  
  25. The exceptions to the rule were those drives made/sold by Silicon Graphics, Inc.
  26. who also ship all needed software to make use of this feature.
