- You win the prize! You have, sub-consciously, hit upon the reason that
- the Classic only runs Solaris 2.x -> Sun wants to create a critical mass
- so that the applications migration moves a bit faster. By increasing
- the installed base with inexpensive machines that can only run 2.x,
- Sun puts pressure on developers to get the 2.x apps done.
