- I have some questions with regards to the different Xylogics SMD controllers
- which can be used in Sun 2 (Multibus) systems:
-
- What are the major differences between the Xy450 and the Xy451?
- When do I need to use an Xy451 instead of an Xy450?
-
- Also, I would like to know what is the standard setting for bytes/sector
- on an Xy450 used in a Sun 2 system (my Xy450 uses 1056 bytes/sector for some
- strange reason)? Does it make a difference what the bytes/sector is set to?
-
- My Xy450 Rev G part number ends in a 912, which means that it is *not* 512
- bytes/sector which is what I would expect would be used by the Unix O/S.
-
- Thanks in advance,
