  10. sometimes when i try to drag and drop a data file it gives
  11. me a message something like "can not open folder - file
  12. not a directory" instead of opening a text edit session
  13. which is what usually happens. the weird thing is that which
  14. data file this happens to depends on what else is in the directory;
  15. e.g. if i get the error on file test1 and then make a new file test2,
  16. the error now occurs on file test3. the files all open fine if you
  17. do it explicitely, and they all look identical if you look with
  18. %ls -l
