A few people here have it. Great game! It isn't as complex as Falcon (PC & Mac) but it is too good to be a video game. The graphics are very smooth, but you only get full screen in 16 colors (half screen in 256 is a little too tight for my liking).
The game comes with terrain for the Hawiian Islands and San Francisco. You choose a plane from a list (727, F-18, f-16, x-29) and a weapons load (sidewinders and sparrows). You then can fly against other people on the net. Dogfighting in this game is fantastic. When you get into the furball, you really don't have time to worry much about anything else but the other guy. Playing in teams is the best. We have four people who play and luckily we have one pair at one end of the hall and the other pair at the o
ther end. This is great because you can talk to your wingman without the other side hearing your strategy.
The game is simple enough to allow novices to have some fun if the experts don't pick on them, but never gets boring because you're flying against an unpredictable, intelligent, and malicious foe--other humans.
My advise is to get the game if you can persuade someone else to get it too. It is prety boring if you only have one.
One warning! The game requires the graphics accelerator to play. If your machine boots up with the fancy 3-d sun logo (rather than the plain blue sun logo) you're all set to go. I think that the software is only $50 now (used to be more). I've heard that there's a new version coming soon that adds guns, incremental damage (now if you get hit, you die), and landing for repair, rearm, and refuel.
