- The manual included with the software, is a book written by Stephen Wolfram,
- "Mathematica, A System for Doing Mathematics by Computer". It should be
- available in most College bookstores. (~$50 Hardback or ~$30 paper)
-
- ISBN # for the Hardback edition is 0-201-51502-4. (0-201-51507-5 for paperback)
- Publisher is Addison Wesley. It's an outstanding text.
-
- The SUN version of Mathematica does not include a notebook interface like those
- available on Mac's or NeXT's. Ask your administrator if your network supports
- running the frontend interface on a Mac and the processing kernal on the Sun.
- It makes a significant difference.
-
- There is a manual specifically for Sparcs but it has to do with installation
- and configuration primarily. The book above is what you want.
