  13. I'm using an SLC with sunos 4.1.3, with a HP 4M printer.

  15. I have a null-modem cable, but all I seem to get is jiberish (in PCL mode).
  16. I assume it's a parity problem, but no matter what I try, nothing seems
  17. to change.

  19. Once, I got some "real" text to appear, but when I tried it again, the
  20. same garbled text started again.

  22. Is there anyone who has a known printcap that works with an HP 4M? I'd like
  23. to determine if my serial port got screwed up or the printer.

  25. Also, is there anything extra needed to change a printcap setting (like kill
  26. lpd?) How can I be assured the change is taking effect?
