  12. I would like to be able to allow dial-in and out access to/from our
  13. Sparc ELC.  I have set up /etc/gettytab for dial-in logins and /etc/dialers
  14. for outgoing tip access, but sometimes when I try to use tip to dial out,
  15. it says all ports busy, and sometimes when I do succeed in using tip, then
  16. init spins forever and dial-in access doesn't work anymore.

  18. After init gets stuck, it ignores any changes to /etc/gettytab after that
  19. (even, of course after kill -HUP 1 ).

  21. I am running SunOs 4.1.2.

  23. I have read the FAQ about this, but the ELC doesn't come with the 
  24. "Systems and Network Administration Guide", only something called
  25. "Systems and Network Manager's Guide", which refers the reader to the
  26. Administration Guide for incoming calls!

  28. Strange that they should refer to a manual that doesn't come with the machine.
  29. Any ideas out there?
