- I would like to be able to allow dial-in and out access to/from our
- Sparc ELC. I have set up /etc/gettytab for dial-in logins and /etc/dialers
- for outgoing tip access, but sometimes when I try to use tip to dial out,
- it says all ports busy, and sometimes when I do succeed in using tip, then
- init spins forever and dial-in access doesn't work anymore.
-
- After init gets stuck, it ignores any changes to /etc/gettytab after that
- (even, of course after kill -HUP 1 ).
-
- I am running SunOs 4.1.2.
-
- I have read the FAQ about this, but the ELC doesn't come with the
- "Systems and Network Administration Guide", only something called
- "Systems and Network Manager's Guide", which refers the reader to the
- Administration Guide for incoming calls!
-
- Strange that they should refer to a manual that doesn't come with the machine.
- Any ideas out there?
-
- Here is what I have in /etc/ttytab:
-
- ttya "/usr/etc/getty std.2400" vt100 on modem
