- I have just finished the preliminary testing of a
- patchkit that I have built that applies 12 of the security
- patches in 4.1.3. It seems, in their infinite wisdom, Sun couldn't
- incorporate these fixes in the move from 4.1.2 to 4.1.3 even though
- most of them were known. /shake head in disbelief. And then, it seems
- that they can't get one of their people to do this, even though it
- seems relatively simple (for someone who knows what they are doing, not
- me ;).
-
- So, the question is, is there enough demand for this monstrosity. I've
- only managed to test it on a sun4c (IPC), but it seems to have worked
- fine, and I will be testing it on the rest of my machines soon.
-
- If you're interested, send me mail and if there is enough demand, I'll
- put it up via anonymous ftp.
-
- Hope this makes someone's life easier....
