- Hello,
-
- I have a question to pose the Net and see if anyone out there has had the same
- experiences that I'm experiencing. This is related to AutoCad release 11
- running on Intel-based machines connected to a server using PC-NFS 4.0. The
- server is a Sun Sparcstation 2 running SunOs 4.1.1.
-
- I was involved in the installation of the Sun and the connecting of the PCs to
- the server via an ethernet network. At the same time I installed the server,
- the AutoCad software was upgraded to release 11. Ever since then, they have
- been experiencing file corruption on the AutoCad data files. I am trying to
- figure out if this is a network related issue or an AutoCad related one. Funny
-
- thing is that release 11 of AutoCad has a new "feature": Recover damaged
- files. This is the feature that needs to be used to recover these damaged
- files. The corruption also occurs when the files are saved to the "C:" drives
- as well. I'm pretty sure that rules out a network related issue with PC-NFS,
- but I'm checking to cover my bases.
-
- If anyone has had experiences with this type of scenario, or one similar to
- this, I would certainly appreciate it.
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
