- I've just installed SunOs 4.1.1 on a dataless 3/160 client.
- Before configuring any of the /etc/uucp/* files the following occurs:
-
- gmh@adnhll bash$ >testfile
- gmh@adnhll bash$ /bin/uucp -r testfile pal\!~/jek/
- Segmentation fault
- gmh@adnhll bash$
-
- If I'm logged on as root I get:
-
- root@adnhll bash# >testfile
- root@adnhll bash# /bin/uucp -r testfile pal\!~/jek/
- bad system: pal
- uucp failed completely (68)
- root@adnhll bash#
-
- As I would expect it to work when I'm logged in as me.
-
- I've got another dataless client (3/60) using the same binaries on the same
- server that gives me the "bad system: pal ..." response I'd expect.
-
- I've checked /etc/group, /etc/passwd between these two machines and they look
- ok.
-
-
- Does anybody out there have any experience with this problem? Or,
- could somebody point me to some (free) on-line resources that could help?
-
- Thanks,
-
- -Greg
