  11. I've just installed SunOs 4.1.1 on a dataless 3/160 client.
  12. Before configuring any of the /etc/uucp/* files the following occurs:

  14.     gmh@adnhll bash$ >testfile
  15.     gmh@adnhll bash$ /bin/uucp -r testfile pal\!~/jek/
  16.     Segmentation fault
  17.     gmh@adnhll bash$

  19. If I'm logged on as root I get:

  21.     root@adnhll bash# >testfile
  22.     root@adnhll bash# /bin/uucp -r testfile pal\!~/jek/
  23.     bad system: pal
  24.     uucp failed completely (68)
  25.     root@adnhll bash#

  27. As I would expect it to work when I'm logged in as me.

  29. I've got another dataless client (3/60) using the same binaries on the same
  30. server that gives me the "bad system: pal ..." response I'd expect.

  32. I've checked /etc/group, /etc/passwd between these two machines and they look
  33. ok.

  36. Does anybody out there have any experience with this problem?  Or,
  37. could somebody point me to some (free) on-line resources that could help?
