  17. Does anyone have experience running PacerPrint on Sun. We have severe
  18. problems 
  19. with that product. What we have done is as follows:
  20. Installed AppleTalk 2.4.11, PacerShare 2.4.8 and PacerPrint 2.4.12 on 
  21. SPARCstation IPX running SunOS 4.1.2 (no patches) 16 MB RAM, 424 MB
  22. internal 
  23. hard disk and 200 MB ext hard disk. We have two printers (Apple
  24. LaserWriter II
  25. NT and NTX) connected via LocalTalk through Apple InternetRouter.
  26. Varityper and HYPHEN Image Setters are connected directly to ethernet
  27. (thin)
  28. with Dayna EtherPrint (Ethernet to LocalTalk connection boxes). All the
  29. Macs 
  30. are in ethernet Zone. All the printings are from Macs.

  32. Problems:
  33. If I try to print several jobs to any of these printers the first one
  34. usually 
  35. comes out OK but the rest doesn't until I kill the related xxxxfilter
  36. process.

  38. Sometimes happens also that the spooler (PacerPrint) takes the job OK,
  39. but 
  40. when it begins to send it to the chosen printer it just disappears.

  42. Couple of times has also happened that the whole system crashes.
  43. IPX just goes grazy with following messages to console:

  86. These messages are printed as far as STOP-A is inserted
