- Yes, at least one version of that patch (I don't know if there are
- others) is seriously broken - if I remember right, the rsh never notices
- end-of-file on its stdin (perhaps doesn't even read it), and so if you do
- something like 'cat file | rsh host pgm-that-wants-file-on-stdin', it
- will just hang forever. Had a nice:-( debug session with that on someone
- else's hosts - only when I had ruled out everything but rsh itself as the
- source of the problem did he remember that he had installed a patch...

- The bug it is supposed to fix isn't a very serious one either - I believe
- it will only matter if you try to run rsh from within an application that
- has lots of file descriptors open, like at least 31 in the range 0-31...
