  11. O.K. Forgive my ignorance, but I don't know enough to know it this is 
  12. possible or not.  I want to create a .so of my libXext.a lib.  I
  13. extracted the .o with ar but ld -assert pure-text failed on all the
  14. files.  Is there somthing simple that can be done about this or should I
  15. just break down and build X11R5 ( I'm running R4 ) from the sources?

  17. I'm running SunOS 4.1.3 on a sun4c architecture.
