- Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this but I have recently aquired a version
- of PC-NFS version 3.0 (and also the upgrade package to 3.1). Now I know that
- these version are very old but I wanted to know if they should still work with
- MS-DOS 5.0 and SunOS 4.1.1.
-
- The problem that I am having is that I don't seem to be able to read or write
- files on an NFS mounted disk. I can LS (and DIR) fine but if I try a
- "copy c:\autoexec.bat e:\" I get the ol' "Drive not ready. Abort, Retry, Fail"
- message. When I select fail I receive and INT 24 error. I also get the same
- thing when I try TYPEing a file. Oddly enough, I can use redirection to create
- a file. In otherwords, dir c:\*.* > e:\foobarhead actually creates the
- file (although I can't determine its contents!)
-
- This is not a permission problem. The directory that I'm mounting has a mode
- of 777. I have also, built, installed and have been authenticated by rpc.pcnfsd.
-
- Am I doing something wrong? Does PC-NFS 3.0 work with MS-DOS 5.0 and SunOS
- 4.1.1. Has anyone got this working (or should I say ... STILL working)?
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
