- This Experimental and Character Animation position is a full-time joint
- position responsible for system management, hardware, maintenance of computers,
- (SGI, IBM, and SUN), and film/video hard copy output devices in two separate
- computer labs.

- The work of these labs is centered around the production and recording of a
- wide
- range of professional quality art and animation in one of the most innovative
- art instruction environments in the world.

- This twelve month, five day a week technical staff position is under the
- supervision of the faculty members acting as the directors of the "Computer
- Animation Lab" and the "Character Animation Lab".

- REQUIREMENTS
-
- This person must be fluent in UNIX, shell scripting, MS DOS, and RCS
- programming. Understanding of and experience in System administration is a
- requirement.

- Computer hardware repair, maintenance, and development as well as basic
- electrical capabilities and hard wire cabling systems are key elements of this
- position.

- Network development and maintenance knowledge is crucial to this position.

- Needs to be able to work closely with supervisors and when necessary act on
- her/his own initiative.

- Ability to work well with others in an art environment and strong communication
- skills are important.

- Salary range: mid to high 20Us depending upon level of experience.
