  11. Are there any functions in the image library for dealing with
  12. .sgi images that have been loaded into memory?  What I'd like to
  13. do is load the run-length-encoded .sgi image files into memory
  14. verbatim and _then_ do a memory-based getrow().

  16. I don't know if there's a sneaky way to make the library think it's
  17. looking at a file pointer with it's really looking at a pointer to
  18. memory.
