- Hi everyone,
-
- I'd like to use lpd to drive a local Postscript printer off the
- parallel port of an Indigo, preferably filtering via the Transcript
- stuff that comes with the Irix laser printer support disc, since
- that's what we're running on our Suns. I've tried this in the past
- using an output filter I concocted myself, with marginal success.. It
- worked, but not reliably.
-
- Is anyone doing this, or am I better off sticking with lp? I'd like
- to be able to run lpd since that's what we're doing everywhere else.
- Any pointers/war stories/etc. would be appreciated.
-
- Oh yeah, this is vanilla Irix 4.0.5... I haven't gone to 4.0.5F yet.
-
- Paul
